His Story
My name is Ruben Dias. I was rescued by Silvia and Paolo near the ferry terminal in Mindelo upon call of a Dutch tourist. I was full of mange and with a lot of wounds from scratching. I was hiding in the entrance of the diving center, as people there were also nice, and I was praying from my deepest heart that somebody do something for me, because life on the street was so horrible. It was a Sunday afternoon, when that lady called Simabo, and they took me to their clinic, where I was medicated. Then they took me to their shelter and I”m still staying there, fully cared for, with food, water, deworming and vet consultations when some nice volunteering vet is available to come to see us. I would like to have a home, and a family. As I am docile and friendly to everybody, I’m sure everybody would be happy with me, including children and other animals.
